the valley
was entered,
led all the
way in by Marko Pogacnik
assembled
in concentric
circles
a beauty seldom seen
in the middle
of nowhere,
a hundred
voices
lifted the
weight of
abuse
up & off the ground

and then
she said,
heaven is
waiting
can’t you
smell it
in the air
again
the grass is
greener than green
you know
you want it
yes
you’re right
but i just
brushed my teeth

never before
have i heard
this calling
ringing in my ears
like a howling
you call my name
i hear it
off in the distance
haunted by
knowings of you
i dare not ever
go astray
a tractor beam
holds me
in place,
forever your love

numbers and
letters,
criss and
a cross
never too
late,
to see
your heart
loosely stitched
and
hardly beating,
alone
the glory
of you,
mixed with
me.

to say i
enjoy this
is the most gross
understatement of all
alive and loose
moistened by all
of life.
years roll by.
that cloud is
our pillow,
a rest for
a king & queen
it’s so still outside,
with the wind
howling round
the corner

i’m as north
as i want
to be,
honest
my heart lives
in the west
even deeper
now
pulled by tears
gnawed at
by
great knowing
lightening our
load
the paved road
lights our way

key in the door
allows you
in or out,
i decide
hook on the screen
determines
whether
you enter
it’s all my
decision
in knowing
my heart
ring my bell
ring it again
i think it’s best
you get in here
